Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (WUAS) · Netherlands
Windesheim's Urban Innovation Chair focuses on inclusive and sustainable urban development, implementing research and innovation projects on circular, healthy and nearby living environments. WUAS collaborates closely with TUE on the Dutch living labs and contributes expertise in more-than-human design and ecological awareness. PI: Evert-Jan Velzing.
Association for Urban Transition (ATU) · Romania
ATU brings two decades of interdisciplinary and participatory action research in urban contexts. The organisation leads the formation and networking of transnational communities of practice (WP2) and implements the Romanian living lab in Brezoi, collaborating with a local centre for popular ecology to map and promote traditional knowledge and skills. PI: Daniela Calciu.
KTH Royal Institute of Technology · Sweden
KTH's School of Architecture offers an inter- and transdisciplinary approach combining critical inquiry into sustainability, democracy, and participation with practice-oriented research. KTH leads the development of design methodologies and transformative pedagogical approaches (WP4), and hosts living lab activities in Stockholm and Gothenburg in collaboration with local civic and cultural organisations. Atelier d'Architecture Autogérée (AAA) · France
AAA is a Paris-based non-profit with over two decades of research and practice in participative architecture, resilience and co-produced urban transformation. The organisation initiated R-Urban, a participatory resilience strategy awarded the New European Bauhaus Prize 2022. AAA coordinates the ecological stewardship and circular community economies work across all living labs (WP3). PI: Doina Petrescu.
LAREP / École Nationale Supérieure de Paysage · France
The Laboratoire de Recherche en Projet de Paysage is an interdisciplinary research unit covering human and social sciences and ecology, with members who also practise as landscape architects. LAREP brings expertise in landscape restoration in diverse climate conditions and design with and for biodiversity, leading research activities in the French living lab at Domaine Fabregas. PI: Patrick Moquay.
Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO) · Spain
UPO contributes through its Social Sciences and Environment programme and Global Change Research lab, spanning geography, environmental sciences, engineering and economics. UPO leads the literature review, case library compilation and local context assessment across all living lab sites (WP1). PI: Macarena Tejado.
Conservatoire du Littoral is a French public institution managing a land policy to protect coastal natural areas, overseeing 13.5% of the French coastline. CL manages the Domaine Fabregas at Seyne-sur-Mer, where the French living lab is located, and collaborates with the local municipality for the sustainable implementation of activities and outcomes. PI: Sophie Séjalon.
